Weekly Playlist 51 features Young The Giant, Dali’s Angels, Fleet Foxes, Foster The People, The Decemberists, Menomena, and Beach Fossils.
Young The Giant – Apartments
Apartments is the first Australian single from this Californian outfit. With an average age of 21 their music has a sophisticated sensibility that stems from them playing together since they were in high school.
Dali’s Angels – Microscopes
An Australian band to watch. They stated their strong influences have come from the tight riff/narrative driven music of bands like The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and Television. I think they pull great comparisons to The Shins!
Fleet Foxes – Helplessness Blues
New song of their upcoming second studio album, ‘Helplessness Blues’.
Foster The People – Houdini
Another amazing song by Foster The People. Be sure to go and see them at the Zoo, Brisbane next Sunday! These guys are awesome!

Menomena – Dirty Cartoons
One of the standout tracks from Menomena’s recent performance at St Jerome’s Laneway Festival.
Beach Fossils – Calyer
Dreamy, catchy melodic tune!
