The Temper Trap – Where Do We Go From Here
And i thought they’d had the sophomore album blues. Solid track. MZ
Youth Lagoon – Daydream
Great buildup to one of the grooviest pieces of music I’ve ever heard at 3m12. Pop this one on when you’re next driving. RG
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs – Household Goods
Well, well. This guy is locked in for falls, and I only imagine the dance floor antics this track is going to bring. If you haven’t listened to TEED yet, drop everything and DO IT! MZ
The XX – Angels
This is a brand new track released this week and in the xx style, they are without a doubt about to release something fucking amazing. RG
Yeasayer – Longevity
They’re back and hopefully its got some of that odd blood feel! MZ
Loon Lake – Cherry Lips
Childish goofy like sing along song. You’ll have a little head bop, fa sha. MZ
Busby Marou – Underlying Message
Chill out to this beautiful track from this talented, local two-piece. Jeremy Marou shows off his chops with a phenomenal ukulele solo, accompanied by soft mellow vocals from Tom Busby. RG
The Vaccines – No Hope
Fast-paced strumming, manic guitar solos & catchy choruses are what we’ve come to expect from the Vaccines and they once again deliver. Killer tune! RG
Father John Misty – Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings
This track is immediately addictive. Driven by a simple drum beat, with clashing, open guitar chords and anthemic lyrics make this one hell of a tune. Aubrey Plaza’s not too shabby in the filmclip either (she’ll do…) My personal frontrunner for #1 track of 2012. RG
