Preview – Berlin Music Week at Flughafen Tempelhof Platz der Luftbrücke

So as apart of my European escapade i’ve made tracks to the most amazing city Berlin, and what a way to spend 6 days here then to attend their annual music week.

We’ve grabbed our passes with a total cost of $150 which includes 40 clubs over 4 nights for the music week, along with an added bonus of the most insane festival lineup that would ever hit Australian shores if it did…

Now the stage is set with a nice little warm up gig last night at Bi Nuu, featuring the only aussie contingent, Jinja Safari along with UK’s Ghostpoet. The aussie lads, pulled the pin at the last moment to our disappointment as I would have loved to see them Ugly Dance the shit out of Berlin. Ghostpoet was rad, and met him post gig with him more than willing to meet all the folk in attendance!

So the next two days will be packed of the world’s finest artists across eight stages, with clashes that are unheard of. Ummm should i go to Miike Snow or Sigur Ros.. Men’al. I think the most exciting thing about Berlin Music week is that everyone is open to explore new music, and are all here to appreciate the fine artists that are featuring on the bill.

On a side note. The Germans know how to party and party hard.
