The Strokes release new track ‘One Way Trigger’

What an amazing way to end the week, with the release of this little pearler from The Strokes! We got wind of a new track/album late last week, nek minnit we’re graced with it!

They’ve chosen a synth inspired backing track, which has the boss of a man Casablancas, belting out in falsetto over the top. I immediately associated the synth with A-Ha – “Take On Me” or more importantly when they used ‘Take On Me‘ in Family Guy! The crux of the track sounds more reminiscent of what we’re use to from the lads, with my verdict being that it’ll be something that’ll grow on you. (I am very biased towards anything The Strokes release though!)

I think “One Way Trigger” will receive mixed reviews from their fans, but all in all, we’re on the verge of another LP from The Strokes! Amazing!
