Jagwar Ma Announce Australian Tour!

Words by Scenewave Australia - Published on March 13, 2013

Jagwar Ma are on the buzz bands in the world right now. Hyped by NME as the next big thing, this Sydney two piece has covered amazing ground in the last few months. They’ve opened for Foals, produced tracks for Foals, have been announced as the support act for the upcoming The xx tour, and their latest single, “The Throw”, has been rated Best New Music, saying “the song’s the purest piece of Madchester revivalism to come around in some time.” This success seems just a taste of things to come.

The band (who perform live as a three-piece) have already established themselves as one of the most exciting new live propositions, with stand-out shows on the recent Big Day Out run and a sweaty, sold-out club show at Sydney’s GoodGod in January.  They were personally – along with Foals – my standout act for the GC Big Day Out. The band were handpicked by The xx to support them on their national tour in early April and are currently on tour with Foals in Europe.

Jagwar Ma are now based in the UK so don’t miss what will surely be one of the most talked about tours of the year.
