Neutral Milk Hotel Lock In Harvest Festival

Words by Scenewave Australia - Published on May 8, 2013

On the back of announcing a reunion 15 years after they broke hipster hearts around the world by disbanding, Neutral Milk Hotel has been confirmed to bring their tour Down Under for November’s Harvest Festival.

NMH struck gold with their Anne Frank-inspired indie classic In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, released in 1998 shortly before the band’s disintegration. Frontman Jeff Mangum has pursued an on and off solo career since, but this year’s tour will mark the first return of the original NMH members.

With Franz Ferdinand planning a series of shows in Aus around Harvest time as well, the rumour mill would suggest that Harvest 2013 is shaping up as one to get to this November!

Harvest festival dates:

Sunday, November 10 – Melbourne
Saturday, November 16 – Sydney
Sunday, November 17 – Brisbane

There are also apparently plans in the works for NMH to play headline shows in non-Harvest cities.
