Tour Announcement: KING BUZZO (Buzz Osborne)

Words by Scenewave Australia - Published on May 23, 2014

Buzz Osborne.

This man needs no introduction.

Wild-haired Melvins frontman and guitarist in Mike Patton’s Fantomas, AND cited as a major influence by the likes of Nirvana and Soundgarden, this man is an absolute fucking legend.

Next week will see the release of Buzz, or King Buzzo’s debut solo acoustic album This Machine Kills Artists.

Across seventeen tracks, it’s an album which showcases a part of Buzz that we’ve rarely seen before, highlighting is incredible songwriting skills and musical talent.

It’s an album which has been a long time coming. Buzz actually wrote many Melvins track with no more than an acoustic guitar. But it’s not folk, nor is it metal. In his words, it’s “molk”

We are very excited to announce that Buzz will be visiting Australia for a ten-date tour, following an extensive tour of the USA.

This isn’t something you’ll be able to see ever again. Watching a metal powerhouse take an acoustic turn is a show not to miss, and considering how intimate these venues are, it’s unlikely you’ll ever get the chance again.
