Vivid is a cultural smorgasbord of bright light shows, sweet sweet music and fantastical ideas. It runs all over Sydney from the 23rd of May until June 9th, and you would be foolish to miss it. There are hundreds of events on throughout Vivid and picking the ones to go to can be pretty darn hard. So in the lead up we’re going to let you know the best events to mark on your calenders and scoop up tickets for, which is a must since the biggest ones (Giorgio Moroder Studio Party) have already sold out.
Spice Spektrum
European underground bar/club The Spice Cellar is putting on degustation events, with food, visuals and music carefully crafted around a specific colour. Their three course meals will feature themes such as ‘Red: dishes inspired from the colour of fire associated with energy, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love’. As your tastebuds are reveling in the firey, humourous or nostalgic cuisine, your other senses will be stimulated through lights, films and the tailor matched music. Red sees Sneaky Sound System’s Black Angus take to the DJ booth, and Blue delivers the indie musings of Jad and The Ladyboy (from Brisbane’s Mitzi). Check out the full program below:
