In between touring, Megan Washington was asked to talk at TEDxSydney in earlier this month. Washington addressed a subject she’d not publicly spoke about until that point: her stutter. Megan made sure to point out that singing is the only time when she is not affected by her stutter, and sing she does.
The Brisbane-raised alternative artist Megan Washington, formally known just as Washington, is soon to release her second studio album following the 2010 release of her Aria award-winning album I Believe You Liar.
After a small nationwide tour in April, Megan will be taking her music back around Australia this August to promote her coming album There There, which is set to be released September 12th (and is currently available for preordering on iTunes).
The first single from the forthcoming album, Who Are You, has been a hit on triple j, with the album’s second single, ‘Limitless’ experiencing much of the same success.
Megan will be playing five shows across Australia on her August tour, kicking off August 19 in Melbourne, and finish in Brisbane on the 30th! Make sure to get tickets while you still can!
