Tour Announcement: Howling Bells

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, so I figured this was a perfect time to introduce you to the ambient americana swirl that is Howling Bells. Think of a cross between Lana Del Ray, Best Coast and Metric. Their fourth album Heartstrings, is a comeback after two ill received albums. As often happens, their incredible self titled debut album was impossible to follow, with music critics and fans alike struggling to adore the newer offerings. Heartstrings sees a reversion to their original sound, washes of guitars and husky, strong yet delicate vocals. It is an emotional journey, a poignant offering from leading lady Juanita Stein.

Originally from Sydney (like all the best bands), but now living in London, they’ve toured with the likes of Coldplay and The Killers. This album tour sees only three Australian venues, surprising given the band’s heritage. Nevertheless:
