Motorik!’s third birthday: Art of Rave

Words by Scenewave Australia - Published on August 19, 2014

Famously cool Sydney ravers Motorik! are turning three, and have just announced a retrospective exhibition to coincide nicely with the celebrations! Taking place at Salerno Gallery in Glebe, Motorik! will be showcasing their incredible three years pioneering Australia’s electronic and party scenes. They’ve recruited long-term collaborators Babekühl, and photographer Sam Whiteside of Voena as curators alongside the crew from Motorik Vibe Council to showcase some of the highlights of the past.

Infamous parties, original artworks and imagery, and general nostalgia will be put on show in this free exhibition, as part of the #JDFutureLegends series from Jack Daniel’s – a campaign to champion unique music projects, as well as the stories behind them. This exhibition will only be open for a limited time, and will be opened in true Motorik! style with an exclusive launch party on August 28, hosted by the Motorik Vibe Council themselves.

So head to Glebe and take a peek – trust me, it’s going to be cool. The exhibition runs from August 29 – Sep 3 and entry is free.
