New track: ‘Till Sunrise,’ Goldroom ft. Mammals

Spring is nearly here. This means sunshine, swimming, and music with fuzzed up beats and pseudo-psychedelic melodies. Now, Californian producer Goldroom has teamed up with Northern Beaches man Mammals to create Till Sunrise, guaranteed to be your feelgood hit for the forthcoming summer.

The track is smooth and warm, with sweetly hazy vocals and a slow, syncopated beat.

What I like the most about this track is that I’ve heard so many tracks like it. Every year we get plinky-plonky muffled beachy tracks, and they always seem to sound the same. But there’s something about Till Sunrise that makes it shine. It’s dreamy and delicate, with trickling synths, echoey vocals and blissed-out chords. And while the bass is minimal, a track like this is supposed to be top-heavy.

Layer upon layer creates a rich atmosphere that would fit a daytime poolside vibe just as well as a sunset, cocktails-by-the-beach, dancing-the-night-away setting. Sure to be a chart climbing hit, I can already envision the late nights, lazy afternoons and remixes that Goldroom and Mammals have spawned with Till Sunrise.
