New Single: Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun ‘King of the Moon’

What doesn’t the video clip for Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun’s new single have? James Bond-esque beginning? Check. Elvis inspired opening vocals? Check. A colour scheme so psychedelic that it makes to you wonder whether someone slipped something into your drink? Most certainly.

Taken off the Sydney rocker’s EP ‘Odd/Even’, the second single King of the Moon is a satirical, bluesy track that keeps you guessing until the end. The repetitive hook is catchy and deliciously addictive, while the guitars strumming in the background could be mistaken for the opening of a spy movie. Yet like cheese to biscuits, the song is not quite complete without its music video. Featuring a lime, a cat and some seriously questionable dancing – it is just purposefully bad enough that it is brilliant. Looking as though approximately $4 has gone into its budget, it toes this fine line perfectly and pulls off a truly memorable video to an even better song.
