Slumberjack are touring!

Words by Scenewave Australia - Published on September 8, 2014

Before we go any further: if you aren’t yet familiar with Perth-based electronic duo Slumberjack, that needs to change right now:

Yet another overly-impressive newcomer to the Australian electronic scene, Slumberjack slots right in with glitchy, upbeat producers like Wave Racer and Basenji. In saying that, however, it’s a far cry from anything you’ve heard before: Slumberjack has a darker, deeper sound which seems to incorporate moments of trap, dancehall and even techno. The duo, comprised of Fletcher Ehlers and Morgan Then have already worked with Sable, remixed Goldroom, Airwolf, DCUP and more, been picked for slots at Listen Out and Steresonic festivals, and have generally been making waves all over the place. With influences ranging from J Dilla to Timbaland to Skrillex, it’s bound to be love at first listen for anyone into bass-heavy electronic.

Slumberjack will be setting the floor alight at numerous upcoming summer festivals, but make sure to catch them at a headlining show tour – I have no doubt that these guys won’t be playing at such intimate venues for much longer.
