Sam Smith, one of the UK’s most gifted singers, is heading back to Australia next year in support of his endlessly smooth debut album In The Lonely Hour. Sam Smith’s rise to prominence has been swift – rising to the top of the charts largely to his breakthrough hit Latch, picked up and crafted into a classic dance track by Disclosure. One of the few legitimate YouTube success stories, his voice is truly rapturous. His numbing performance at Splendour arguably stole the day, effortlessly filling the Mix Up tent with his rich, smooth voice.

Since his breakthrough, he has gone on a tear in the charts, securing a string of hits with Stay with Me, Lay Me Down and Money on My Mind and eventually the coveted position as the top album in the UK, and number two in Australia. While he has described it as a tribute to his struggles to find love and ultimately a sad album, his live experience is anything but.
