New video: Fractures, ‘It’s Alright’

Words by Scenewave Australia - Published on October 7, 2014

In a jarringly, emotional and powerful new video, Fractures have released their next single It’s Alright. Shot in the bleak, abandoned remains of the city of Pripyat in Ukraine, it follows a man’s haunting journey through the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

The images of empty swimming pools and dusty abandoned gyms in untouched schools are thought provoking enough, however when coupled with the Fracture’s chilling down-tempo electronica it is truly tear jerking. The quality of filming produced by Matthew Chuang is exceptional.

Following his sold-out tour last month, he had announced a second tour aptly named ‘Hallowed Ground Tour’ in support of the single. Few videos can claim to do justice to the sparceness and isolation of the unique site that is Chernobyl, but Matthew Chuang and Fractures certainly succeed, tying an emotional history with a moving track that will pull at your heart strings as you fall in love with the song.
