New single: Milwaukee Banks – Hazy (LUCIANBLOMKAMP Remix)

In anticipation of the release of their remix EP Rose Water Remixes, Milwaukee Banks has released Hazy as remixed by LUCIANBLOMKAMP.

The appeal of the track lies in its boozy, stripped back simplicity. Staying relatively true to the original, it is quite incredible how much a slow, smooth electronic bass can transform a song. From a tinny,  minimalist rap track to a synth driven down tempo piece, he has succeeded in revamping it completely.

It achieves the same kind of rare atmosphere as bands such as Rufus – who can create a kind of relaxed electronica, which could just as easily be played in the early hours of the morning in a hazy, pumping club, or as music that drifts you to sleep.

If this is any indication of the EP to come, there is much to look forward to.
